Porte e Shqiperi

Because of many wars in Albania’s history, every house is protected by high cement walls and iron gates. Most gates have some defining quality, from design to color. I was very intrigued by there way of expressing themselves.
This gate belonged to a family who became a vital part of starting a ministry in this small village.

Fshat ne Shqiperi

To me the word village did not mean much before I came to Albania. It was a word I heard in medieval history or talking about places filled with huts in Africa.
This village was very different then both. The village of Barbulinja was 15 minutes from my home in the city. They are farmers, who live right next to each other. They let there animals roam through out the area and share green houses.
God has done amazing things in this place to open the villagers hearts and help them come together for him.
